Since 2000, participation in employer-sponsored telecommuting programs in King County more than doubled. 

Employer policies about family-friendly benefits can make a crucial difference in meeting the needs of workers and their families. Workers who telecommute generally have more flexibility in scheduling their professional and family responsibilities.

In 2010, 12% of King County working adults participated in an employer-sponsored telecommuting program.  Between 2000 and 2010, the participation rate more than doubled.
