Parents earning less than $50,000 a year got less emotional support with child rearing than those earning at least $75,000 a year.

In 2011, parents of children younger than 18 years old were asked, “How often do you have someone that you can turn to for day-to-day emotional help with raising children?”

Parents in families earning less than $50,000 a year were less likely than those earning at least $75,000 a year to have frequent emotional support in raising their children.
